Tax Committee experts have met to discuss the lobbying processes in which the Chamber is involved, but also to implement the activities plan of the Committee for the fourth quarter of 2022, emphasizing the elements of advocacy and training.
The working group did an analysis of the implementation of the Investment Agenda recommendations in its eight basic pillars emphasizing the work that has been done with the Ministry of Finance to include them in the National Strategy for the Business Climate.
The Tax Committee also discussed the changes coming on the 2023 Fiscal Package, and how to draft the official letter with all the comments addressed to the Ministry of Finance. This letter will be taken into consideration the suggestions and issues raised by the members of the American Chamber.
Regarding the implementation of the fiscal legislation, the progress of the fiscalization process, and the issues faced by the members during its implementation, it’s been discussed at the meeting.
The meeting of the Tax Committee has served to build an agenda of meetings until the end of the year, with a focus on the informative meeting related to the new income tax law, as well as training sessions with customs on procedures, systems, and fees.
