The American Chamber of Commerce, represented by Alketa Uruci, Chair of the Tax Committee, participated in the Commission on Production Activities, Trade, and Environment to provide feedback on the draft law titled “On the Extended Responsibility of Producers of Products that Generate Waste.”
Ms. Uruci emphasized that the current version of the law has not been adequately consulted with business organizations and contains several technical deficiencies that make it difficult to enforce. In light of these issues, the American Chamber of Commerce has called for a postponement of the draft law’s approval, to allow for the incorporation of the business community’s concerns and to ensure more effective enforcement.
