U.S. authorities have ended the 20-month travel ban for passengers from the European Schengen area as well as from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, China, India, Iran and South Africa.
The new guidelines will allow travelers to the U.S. who are fully vaccinated with WHO-certified vaccines and present a negative Corona test no older than three days to enter the country without restrictions starting on 8 November 2021.
Fully vaccinated travelers from non-Schengen countries will also be able to fly to the USA via the Lufthansa Group airline hubs in Austria, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, provided the requirements for both the transfer and the destination country are met. We have summarized the information currently available on future travel to the USA in our FAQs.
