Our final day in Washington brought two highly practical discussions with the U.S. Commercial Service and U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), institutions whose work is built around one principle: creating measurable economic outcomes.

The U.S. Commercial Service helps businesses expand internationally through market intelligence, matchmaking, and trade promotion. USTDA focuses on the early stages of project development, helping transform promising ideas into bankable opportunities through feasibility studies, technical assistance, and access to U.S. expertise.

The message from both institutions was consistent: opportunities follow preparation. Clear priorities, strong projects, and effective execution matter.

For AmCham Albania, these meetings reinforced our role as a connector between Albanian businesses and U.S. opportunities, while also providing valuable food for thought on how we can further strengthen our organization, sharpen our focus, and deliver greater value to our members. They also highlighted the importance of being organized not only as a country, but increasingly as a region, as many strategic opportunities are viewed through a Western Balkans perspective.

As we conclude this mission, we return with new relationships, new ideas, and a stronger understanding of what it takes to attract attention, partnerships, and investment. The opportunities are there. Our task is to be ready for them.

We leave Washington encouraged, inspired, and confident that Albania has much to offer, and an even greater opportunity to demonstrate it.
