The Move Up Program, organized by IFC and AmCham Albania, continued with a training module dedicated to Inventory Management and Demand Planning. The session aimed to strengthen participants’ capacities in demand forecasting, efficient inventory management, and service level improvement, while simultaneously optimizing operational costs.
Trainer Adriana Palasan guided participants through a combination of strategic and operational perspectives, providing valuable insights on how to align supply with market demand, reduce stock-related losses, and organize effective decision-making processes.
The module covered several key topics, including:
- Principles of inventory management, including inventory types and functions, EOQ, safety stock, reorder points, and ABC analysis
- Demand forecasting practices
- Inventory planning and replenishment strategies
- IT applications and tools such as ERP, WMS, and demand planning software
- KPI management and performance measurement
Through this training, participants gained practical knowledge and concrete methodologies for building sustainable, flexible, and cost-efficient inventory management systems. The training also contributed to improving operational performance and strengthening businesses’ ability to respond to market changes.
