The Technical Committee of Experts has drafted a plan to facilitate the measures. The plan sets out to open up activities with more impact on the economy and less risk. Each opening will have strict protocols. The facilitation will have four phases, according to the guidelines drafted by the WHO. To monitor the measures, the Task Force is being set up to monitor the situation on the ground.

In the trial of commercial banks, lending standards were tightened in the first quarter of 2020, according to the Bank of Albania’s Credit Activity Survey. Në gjykimin e bankave tregtare, standardet e kreditimit u shtrënguan në tremujorin e parë të vitit 2020, sipas Vrojtimit të Aktivitetit të Kredisë së Bankës së Shqipërisë. Although the Covid 19 crisis has made financing difficult in foreign markets due to the growing interest rate trend, the Ministry of Finance will continue to issue Eurobonds. Official sources from the Ministry of Finance claimed that the value of the issued Eurobond will reach 650 million euros from about 500 million euros originally planned by the Ministry of Finance and 600 million euros that became the amount later. The Ministry of Finance expects to materialize the issuance of the Eurobond within the summer of this year, or the maximum within 2020.

Edhe pse kriza e Covid 19 ka bërë të vështirë financimin në tregjet e huaja për shkak të tendencës në rritje të normave të interesit, Ministria e Financave do të vijojë me emetimin e Eurobondit. Burimet zyrtare nga Ministria e Financave pohuan se, vlera e Eurobondit të emetuar do të arrijë në 650 milionë euro nga rreth 500 milionë euro që planifikoi fillimisht Ministria e Financave dhe 600 mln euro që u bë shuma më vonë. Ministria e Financave pret të materializojë emetimin e Eurobondit brenda verës së këtij viti, ose maksimumi brenda vitit 2020.

The Committee on Economy and Finance discussed in principle this Wednesday the draft law “On collective investment ventures” by receiving comments from stakeholders on opportunities to make improvements. Representative of the Financial Supervisory Authority Niko Kotonika in his defense of the draft, clarified that he is in line with the directives of the European Union and some of the foreign experiences aimed at market development.

EU reconstruction funds will be managed by UNDP, not the Rama government – Exit.al
The EU Delegation in Tirana has clarified how EU funds will be managed for reconstruction after the November 26th earthquake. Asked by Exit News, the Delegation stated that “EU funding for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of schools [damaged by the earthquake] will be managed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).”
