The representatives of AmChams across Europe and Eurasia gathered in Sofia at the Best Practices Conference 2022. After a two-year being held online due to the pandemic, ACE in collaboration with the AmCham Bulgaria team organized an agenda covering relevant topics for AmChams, and the best practices for developing them. Network with businesses, and stakeholders and the opportunity to visit the country were also part of the agenda.
During the three days of the conference, representatives of more than 30 AmChams shared their best practices and ideas among colleagues discussing challenges, sharing experiences, learning, and debating to ensure the highest possible standards of their operations
An interesting element of the discussions was the analysis of the Benchmark Survey, which presented detailed information on the activity and the main elements of the work of each AmCham, from income, membership, action of committees, etc.
The ACE community has announced for the second year in a row the winner of the Creative Network Award, which this year was awarded to AmCham Slovenia with the project “I am a teacher” which promoted the educational role of teachers in shaping new generations through professional training and creativity.
The AmChams were invited to the reception organized at the American Embassy hosted by the American Ambassador. The representatives of the AmChams had the opportunity to develop a network with businesses and stakeholders and have talked about the role of AmChams in economic development and the importance of the integrity they convey to their members.
The visit to the University of Sofia, the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Technology (INSAT), and the presentation on the new program that the University had implemented, were interesting. The focus of the program, was on ICT development, in which state actors and private businesses were involved.
