The economy’s digitization and cyber security will be the two main pillars of the focus of the annual work plan of the Digital Business Committee of AmCham Albania. The committee is dealing with the toughest challenge of the time, not only in dealing with the digital revolution in the economy but also in upskilling the workforce to adapt to technological developments.
In planning for this year’s activities for members, the experts of the Digital Committee, led by Chairwoman Linda Shomo, took into consideration analyses on legal changes that regulate digital activities. Interaction with institutions that regulate processes and monitor their implementation will be part of the plan of activities.
Training and professional development are important pillars for AmCham Albania as a whole, but they have particular value for the Digital Committee, as they are responsible for informing and training the workforce on rapid developments in technology. To do this as effectively as possible, the committee will rely on the capacity of its own members that have ongoing related programs or have professional training schools in this field. AmCham Executive Director Neritan Mullaj has emphasized that working with projects that financially support businesses in training staff will be one of the committee’s focus areas.
Start-ups and the ecosystem being created around them, though still in its early stages, are a topic of interest for the committee, as it believes it is time to begin a discussion among all stakeholders — new businesses, accelerators and investors that can support them. During the meeting, Board Member Juela Isaj encouraged the committee to be a part of professional discussions on new developments in AI and how these innovations can be adapted by businesses in the local market.

Digjitalizimi në ekonomi dhe siguria kibernetike, do të jenë dy shtyllat themelore ku do të përqëndrohet programi vjetor i Komitetit të Biznesit Digjital. Drejtori Ekzekutiv i AmCham Neritan Mullaj, ka theksuar se bashkëpunimi me projektet që mbështesin financiarisht biznesin në trajnimin e stafeve do të jetë një nga fushat e punës së Komitetit.
Startup-et dhe ekosistemi që po zhvillohet rreth tyre, dhe pse akoma në hapat e para, është një temë që i intereson këtij Komiteti i cili mendon se është koha për të filluar një diskutim mes gjithë aktorëve, bizneset e reja, akseleruesit dhe investitorët që mund ti mbështesin. Gjatë takimit anëtarja e Bordit Juela Isaj, inkurajoi Komitetin të bëjë pjesë të diskutimeve profesionale edhe zhvillimet e reja në AI dhe mënyrën se si këto novacione mund të përqasen nga bizneset në tregun vendas.
