AmCham Albania’s healthcare sector members have held a meeting to talk about treating the core issues faced by companies in the healthcare system, which include those in the pharmaceutical sector, hospital services, medical laboratories, and others. The meeting gathered in a roundtable the best experts in the health care sector to discuss the challenges of the health system in Albania in order to improve quality and increase innovation in the provision of health care.
At the meeting, the healthcare sector representatives once again analyzed the sharpest problems faced by their businesses. The pharmaceutical sector faces the issues of updating the pricing methodology and removing over-the-counter (OTC) medicines from price monitoring, improving the rules on the promotion of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs when this promotion is made directly to the public and increasing the transparency of the list of reimbursable drugs.Currently, medicine prices are set based on an old methodology that does not reflect market needs. Moreover, the criteria used by that methodology has led to the removal of well-known patented brands from the market, and therefore also affecting the quality of products available. The situation created by the pandemic and the significant increase in production costs, followed by a sharp increase in inflation, has put the pharmaceutical market in difficulty — and the situation requires the attention of the government. On the other hand, the hospital sector faces problems with the regulatory system regarding reimbursement packages, which makes it necessary to regulate it by law, and lobbying on behalf of that part of the healthcare sector is needed. The meeting also paid attention to the problems of the medical equipment sector, which is facing an issue with the need to update the codes of the equipment they import into the customs system.
In the end, the members agreed that the increase in communication with the government and the development of an interactive and attractive environment for all interest groups to discuss the main challenges in the health system will promote the development and quality of public health care.
Dhoma Amerikane flet me anëtarët për çështjet e sektorit të shëndetësisë
Bizneset anëtare të Dhomës, përfaqësues të sektorit të shëndetësisë, u takuan për të diskutuar mbi çështjet themelore që janë diagnostikuar në sistemin e shëndetësisë në Shqipëri. Ky takim solli në një tryezë të përbashkët ekspertët më të mirë të fushës së kujdesit ndaj shëndetit për të diskutuar mbi sfidat e sistemit shëndetësor në Shqipëri me qëllim përmirësimin e cilësisë dhe rritjen e inovacionit në ofrimin e kujdesit shëndetësor.
Gjatë takimit, përfaqësuesit e sektorit të shëndetësisë kanë analizuar edhe njëherë problematikat më të mprehta me të cilat përballet biznesi i tyre. Sektori i farmaceutikës risolli edhe njëherë shqetësimin mbi përditësimin e metodologjisë së përcaktimit të çmimeve të barnave, heqjen e OTC nga monitorimi i çmimeve, përmirësimi i rregullave në promovimin e barnave që tregtohen pa recetë mjekësore (OTC), kur ky promovim bëhet drejtpërdrejt për publikun dhe rritjen e transparencës së listës së barnave të rimbursueshme. Aktualisht çmimet e barnave, vendosen mbi bazën e një metodologjie të vjetër që nuk reflekton nevojat e tregut. Për më tepër, kriteret që parashikon kjo metodologji, po largojnë patentat e njohura nga tregu dhe për rrjedhojë edhe produktet cilësore. Për më tepër, situata e pandemisë dhe rritja e ndjeshme e kostove të prodhimit e ndjekur dhe nga një rritje e lartë e inflacionit, e ka vënë në vështirësi tregun e farmaceutikës që tashmë kërkon vëmendjen e qeverisë.
Ndërsa, sektori i shërbimit spitalor përballet me probleme të sistemit rregullator për sa i takon paketave me rimbursim, që e bëjnë të nevojshme rregullimin me ligj dhe lobimin e kësaj pjesë të industrisë shëndetësore. Takimi i ka kushtuar vëmendje edhe problematikave të sektorit të pajisjeve mjekësore të cilët kanë nevojë të azhornohen kodet e pajisjeve që importojnë në sistemin doganor.
Në përfundim, anëtarët janë shprehur se rritja e komunikimit me qeverinë dhe zhvillimi i një ambjenti ndërveprues dhe tërheqës për të gjithë grupet e interesit për të diskutuar sfidat kryesore mbi sistemin e shëndetësisë, do të nxisë zhvillimin e këtij sektori dhe përmirësimin e cilësisë në ofrimin e kujdesit shëndetësor për publikun.
