The MoveUp Training Program supports logistics and supply chain professionals in Albania to strengthen their skills and competitiveness in today’s evolving market. The program is delivered by the Supply Chain Management Center, a leading institution in Romania with 20+ years of training experience in logistics and supply chain management areas. The company’s training courses are aligned with the standards promoted by the European Logistics Association.
This program is in cooperation with the AmCham Albania, led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The program helps professionals strengthen their leadership, digital, and operational skills to boost efficiency and sustainability in logistics and supply chain management.

Program Format
6 modules over 6 months. 80 hours of practical training from international experts. Participation in the program is free for verified participants. The program will be held physically and online as follows:
- Physical training days: 4 days
- Online training days: 6 days. Access to online training materials

Principles of Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Objective: Understand the main principles of the SCM from the perspective of LSPs to enhance operational capabilities, strategic alignment with clients, and adaptability in a dynamic logistics environment.
Main topics:
- Supply chain strategy and design Sourcing and manufacturing strategies
- Freight transportation management
- Order fulfilment and customer service (particularly in the context of order fulfilment, delivery, and client satisfaction KPIs)
- Supply chain risk management
Warehouse Management
Objective: Provide participants with essential knowledge and skills of warehouse management strategies and practices to optimize warehouse operations and improve inventory accuracy.
Main topics:
- Warehouse layout and design
- Warehouse operations, inbound and put away strategies, storage and handling, order picking approaches, outbound
- Warehouse technology and IT applications
- Energy efficiency Performance measurement in warehouse logistics, KPIs
Inventory Management and Demand Planning
Objective: Develop participants' ability to efficiently and accurately forecast demand and manage inventory to improve service levels while minimizing costs. Training will include stock control techniques, forecasting methods, and strategies to align supply with demand.

- Principles of inventory management (inventory types and functions, EOQ, safety stock, reorder points, ABC analysis etc.)
- Demand forecasting practices Inventory planning and replenishment
- IT applications and tools (ERP, WMS, demand planning software, etc)
- KPI management
Transportation and Distribution Management
Objectives: Provide participants with the knowledge to plan, manage, and optimize transportation and distribution operations. Participants would learn how to select appropriate transport modes, manage transportation costs, and ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.

- Modal choice strategies (road, rail, sea, air, intermodal transportation)
- Freight and carrier management Transportation planning and scheduling
- Distribution network design and management
- Route planning techniques Transport planning and management technologies (TMS etc.)
- KPIs in transport and distribution
- Customer service expectations, particularly in the context of order fulfillment, delivery, and client satisfaction KPIs
Logistics Project Management and Controlling
Objectives: Provide logistics professionals with practical skills to efficiently manage and control logistics projects. Participants will learn how to scope, plan, execute and monitor projects while managing risks. The course will emphasize logistics-specific challenges such as 3PL/4PL/5PL coordination and measuring performance through relevant KPIs.

- Fundamentals in project management
- Characteristics of logistics-specific projects Logistics strategies, agile vs. traditional approaches in logistics management
- Contract logistics, 3PL, 4PL, and 5PL, managing outsourcing contracts and performance
- Logistics performance measurement and KPIs

- Change management in logistics environments
- Communication and coordination in logistics teams (internal and external, team management training, soft skills for project leaders and conflict resolution)
Green Logistics
Objectives: Enable participants to learn about the green logistics approaches and tools to implement environmentally sustainable practices in logistics. The training aims to provide participants with the knowledge to reduce emissions, optimize energy use, and integrate green infrastructure and technologies across the supply chain.
Main topics:
- Environmental impacts of logistics (GHG emissions, air quality, noise, land use)
- Regulatory trends and sustainability goals (EU Green Deal, SDGs, ESG standards)
- Energy-efficient transport solutions (modal shift (promoting environmentally friendly transport), low-emission and alternative fuel vehicles (electric, LNG, hydrogen), route optimization and load consolidation practices)
- Sustainable warehousing solutions (green building standards (LEED, BREEAM), energy-efficient design, smart lighting, energy management systems, automation, robotics, and AI, waste minimization strategies) Digital technologies in green logistics (Telematic systems, emission tracking, AI, IoT, automation etc.
