The Albanian\neconomy is expected to shrink by 5% in 2020, as a result of the consequences of\nthe Covid-19 pandemic, which has halted almost all economic activity. In the periodic\nsurvey on the financial situation of families, the Bank of Albania reported\nthat in the second half of 2019, about 24% of Albanian families have at least\none debt to pay. This weight has remained unchanged compared to the previous\nsurvey, and has marked a slight decrease compared to a year ago, but remains 4\npercentage points below the historical average of the survey (since 2010).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sipas k\u00ebtij ndryshimi, bizneset e vogla nuk do t\u00eb paguajn\u00eb qira p\u00ebr\ndy muaj edhe n\u00eb rast se ata mund t\u00eb mos jen\u00eb n\u00eb list\u00ebn e aktiviteteve t\u00eb\nmbyllura. The\nCouncil of Ministers approved yesterday a Normative Act on Some amendments and additions\nin the Normative Act No. 3, dated 15.03.2020 of the Council of Ministers, \u201cFor\ntaking special administrative measures during the period of infection caused by\nCovid-19\u201d, as amended.
\nAccording to this change, small businesses will not pay rent for two months\neven if they may not be on the list of closed activities. Previously, the\nsubject of this act were only businesses that were on the list of closed\nactivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EU is making\navailable almost all the remaining money from this year’s budget to fight the\nCOVID-19 pandemic.
